Google has removed these 17 Loan apps with over 1 crore downloads for spying on users. ESET’s report reveals the presence of these apps, designed to spy on users by collecting extensive device information. This acquired data is later used to blackmail and extort borrowers into repaying with high-interest rates. The apps are said to target users living in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia.

Google warns users to remove these 17 banned apps from their devices. Although your existing data that these apps already stored isn’t going to be deleted.
